House Spirits

It’s TAURUS SEASON!!! This is my birthday month! I’m sending you stuff for the entities that inhabit your home with you.

In the box:

~15 minute candle spell with mini candle (brittlebush petals, blue cornflower petals, rosepetals, powdered honey, cinnamon, marjoram, mint, mugwort)

SO. The intention powder was created as the moon waxed, so the feelings of cozy comfort grow as well. The candles were poured and dressed on the dark moon. All the ingredients in both the candle dressing and the intention powder were chosen to create feelings of harmony, sweetness, joy, comfort, and content.

Candle Spell

First, if you’re able, do a good clean of the house, or at least the room you’ll be in. The candle shouldn’t burn more than 15 minutes. I did a test burn with an undressed candle and it lasted 13 minutes, and since they’re dressed they should burn even faster. DO NOT leave the candle unattended while it burns. Set aside 15 minutes to sit and meditate while the candle burns, even if it’s just sitting next to it and repeating a phrase to yourself/the candle/your home (which is what I did). Invite your house spirits to enjoy the sweetness of the honey, the colors of the petals, and the warmth & light of the flame with you. Tell them you’re interested in working with them (if you are) in keeping the house safe and happy and productive.

When the candle goes out, light a cone of incense and enjoy the feeling of lightness that the candle brought. I usually open a door or window so I don’t get smoked out by the incense, plus to let out any baddies that are grumped about the candle.
I sprinkle intention powder around the outside of my home or along the boundaries of my property as a bit of warding, but also so the outside spirits and entities can enjoy it as well. It does have salt in it, so just be aware of that when you’re choosing spots to sprinkle it. I also put it under the floor mats in my car, under the mat at the entrance to the house, and sometimes along the tops of windowsills or doorjambs.
