Element of Earth
It’s the last Element box- the element of Earth. We made it!
In the box:
Slate altar plate
Engraved altar box
Canvas for DIY elemental art
Chai Tea (Trader Joe’s brand)
Saffron rock candy (get it? Hahahaaaa ok that’s enough)
Polychrome jasper for healing
A rock I can’t remember what it is, maybe Amazonite? Idk. Pretty though.
Lasered tumble
Moon phases shoelace charms
Incense
Surprise piece for next year’s monthly add-on project
First, gather up things (objects, a slip of paper with the thing written on it, or the element itself). Light some incense, and pass the altar cloth through it to cleanse. Then smoke cleanse each tool that you got each month- metal bowl for water, ceramic trivet for fire, slate/stone for earth, wooden disc for air, and place it in the appropriate place on the altar cloth. Place the thing you chose to represent the element in the appropriate place. For me, I’d use a feather or a bug wing for air, matches or light a candle for fire, a stone, salt, or crystal tumble for earth, and water in the bowl for water.
If you really want to go Full Ceremony, you could say the following:
Earth, steady and strong, I call upon your power. Grant me stability and grounding.
Air, swift and light, I call upon your grace. Bring me clarity and freedom.
Fire, bright and bold, I call upon your might. Ignite my courage and fierceness.
Water, deep and wise, I call upon your flow. Cleanse and heal me, above and below.
Close your eyes and feel each element affecting you. Feel the air filling your lungs, the ground beneath you, warmth around you (even if it’s just clothes, unless you’re skyclad, in which case- damn, homie, you go all out!), dip your finger into the water. Appreciate and thank each element and the way they affect your life and practice. Just sit with them for a little bit and think about how you want to work with them in the next year.
When you feel like you’re done, thank each element again as you dispose of them, clean the dishes, and put them away with the altar cloth, if you don’t leave them out.
Happy Samhain!
