I can’t believe it’s already March. Is it Spring-ey where you are yet? It’s already starting to get hot here. This month I’m venturing into Jayne’s territory- pendulums! Here’s what’s in the box.

Hive House pendulum board
Satin spar knife to cut to the point when divining
Obleas con cajeta bc delicious
Moringa lemongrass tea (helps encourage clarity)
incense
Finger labyrinth to help you center yourself before beginning (first of a set)
Copper and smoky quartz pendant to help ground you (can act as pendulum as well)
Phytoconjure for protection during divination
Deluxe boxes: crystal card holder
First we are gonna cleanse and bless this stuff. Light you some incense and ask your preferred patron to cleanse it and help it be ready for you to use. Some beings to consider: Hecate, goddess of witchcraft; St. Agabus, patron saint of fortune tellers; or Tezcatlipoca, the Aztec god of divination. Or just talk to whatever deity, saint, or other being you work with. I’m probably just going to ask my familiar spirits. Pass the items to be blessed (the pendant, board, knife, and pendulum, for me) through the smoke, asking for the blessing, cleansing, and guidance when using the tools. You could also burn the leaf and anoint the items with the ashes.
First figure out which directions mean yes and no for your pendulum. You may need to turn the board to get the meanings you want at first; once you figure out your pendulum’s “language” you may not need the board at all. I just ask it to show me yes, then show me no, and ask it a test question “does a circle mean yes?” to check if we’re on the same page.
If you feel like you have trouble with this, you could use the knife. I would probably say something like “I use this knife to cut away the information, knowledge, and beings that do not serve me in this divination,” or whatever helps you feel like it will work. Then use the knife to “cut” a circle around you and the pendulum/board, and ask again.
Finish up with a nice up of tea and some caramel.
Check phytoconjure.com to get the meaning of all the symbols in the sigil on the leaf.
Don’t forget to scratch this box and see if you get a special gift next month!
