Community
This month is, as I’m sure we’re all aware, Anahata’s Purpose month. I, and some of you, will be there at the beginning of the month. I would love it if we could all meet there but I know that’s difficult. We can still share community though, and that’s why I created this box.
In the box this month:
Community candle with dressed with rose petals, blue (throat chakra, for us to sing together) and lavender (third eye, so we can share the same vision of togetherness). The bindrune is Feoh for wealth. In this case, the wealth of friendship. Mannaz for the people- us! Othala for home and feelings of family, which you all are to me. And Algiz to connect and protect us all through the various planes of existence.

Green tree agate for the heart (aka Anahata) chakra, to strengthen our sense of community and relationship with one another
Amber and sandalwood incense to help bring us peace and enlightenment
D. ascendens, aka “tick clover”. While it does have ayurvedic uses I’m not going to go into, in our case we are using the lay name to get our use of the plant. “Tick clover” or “beggar’s lice” seeds stick together, and to you, when you walk through it. Even though we’re all scattered around the country, we’re still sticking together- even to the point of traveling together to Anahata’s in some cases. It’s a weedy legume/nitrogen fixer and pollinators love it, by the way.
The Plus tiers will get a necklace with the same rune as the one on the candle.
I’m sure you know how much Anahata’s means to me. It’s the first time I have ever felt real community, and it was a big influence on everything (EVERY THING) I’ve done since, and every way I’ve experienced things since. I hope that one day we can ALL go to Anahata’s, or at least something similar, and be together in person. Until then, though, I created this.
I hope the box finds its way to you quickly, I’m sending them out early (before the Patreon payout fully completes) because I want us to all feel a sense of community together. Those of us at the event will work at the same time each night (probably around 6-7pm Eastern) so you can time it. I’ll be remaining in this specific spiritual space until probably around 11pm Eastern. I’m hoping the others that will be there accompany me, in their own way, as well.
If you’re at home this year, I actually want you to try to cast a circle. Not a protective one necessarily- this is to make a liminal space where we can be together in spirit, separate from the physical world. Take the incense and walk your circle clockwise (or whatever shape you need to use), envisioning it creating spiritual walls around the interior space. Inside the circle, dress the candle with the oil. If you want to add the clover, do that as well, and maybe add some rose petal, jasmine, or honeysuckle if you have it. If you’re able, close your eyes and imagine yourself around a campfire with us. It’s dark and a little chilly, and our faces are golden with the firelight. Around you, you can hear laughter and little snippets of conversations fading in and out as you move your attention around the circle. The fire is crackling and you smell the woodsmoke and probably some palo santo.
If visualizing is difficult for you, or if you just don’t want to, concentrate on the flame of the candle instead. Feel the warmth of our companionship as we are all accepted as we are, who we are, around the flame. When you feel ready, it’s OK to blow this candle out (it’s supposed to be a 10 hour candle so it should last a while). We’ll feel the breeze around our fire, and watch the light flicker a little when you do so. When you’re ready to leave the circle, walk counterclockwise and blow the walls of the circle away (even if you can’t see it anymore) so you don’t have some weird remaining portal left where you or someone else can stumble into/through it.
If you *are* attending AP in person, this is to help with festival drop! We’ll all be kind of stricken when we return. Do this same spell, and remember how it felt to be with everyone. Comfort yourself in knowing that we still have this community and one another. Maybe even arrange, via Marco or somewhere else, to do a group spell to experience it together.

Here’s some housekeeping info. I am having hip replacement surgery at the very end of September. I have a good bit of October’s box ready, but it may be a little late coming to you. I really have no idea how mobile (or alert, considering pain meds) I’ll be after the surgery. I’ll update again on Patreon and in the facebook group as well if there’s any major delays. .
